Marriage & Blessing of Unions

The celebration of God’s blessing on life-long mutual relationships is a cause for great joy, both for the couple and for the greater Christian community. At St. Mark’s, we invite you to come and worship and discover how deeply meaningful your celebration can be when it is centered in a nurturing community of welcome and faith.

Couples who seek to be married or to have their union blessed at St. Mark’s will need to meet with the Rector, the Rev. Mark Kozielec, for preparation counseling a minimum of four times prior to the date of the celebration. No celebration can be scheduled less than sixty days from the first preparation session. If one or both parties have been divorced or have been a part of a union that has been legally dissolved, permission for the celebration will need to be obtained from the Bishop of Missouri.
