What to Expect on Your First Visit

chuck and jasper.jpg

Thank you for considering a visit to St. Mark’s.  Our parish grounds are nestled within the neighborhood of St. Louis Hills where there is ample street parking surrounding our building.  As you enter the doors of our sanctuary, expect to be met with a warm smile and a greeting.  An usher will offer you the service program for that day’s worship and direct you to a seat if need be. Settle into your seat and enjoy the Prelude played on our Juget-Sinclair Organ.  Our service consists of prayers, hymns, a homily, Holy Communion, and more hymns.

Every person who joins us in worship is welcome to share in the bread and wine of Holy Communion. You are invited to come forward to receive communion or you may ask an usher for the bread and wine to be brought to your seat. You may also come forward and cross your arms across your chest to ask for a blessing.

We joyfully welcome children of all ages to fully participate in our worship. Crayons and paper are available at the rear of the church. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic our Nursery is not staffed but you are welcome to use the space if needed. There are changing tables in all the church restrooms as well as in the Nursery.

Once the service had concluded, you are warmly welcomed to join us in our Parish Hall for Coffee Hour.

Again, we hope your time with us grants you whatever you may be in need of at this time.  We are looking forward to meeting you!
